B 83 - 96
B- 80 - 82
C+ 77 - 79 Passing - Requires reinspection within 30 days
C 73 - 76
C- 70 - 72
D+ 67 - 69  Failing - Requires follow-up inspection
within 10 days or closure
D 63 - 66
D- 60 - 62
F 59 and below Unacceptable - Closure; requires reinspection before reopening

Our about page also lists these new score ranges.

We had originally mapped 70-79 to D. This was confusing, because Very Good and Good mapped into A, B, and C. We hope this new system is less confusing. Please contact us via the comments for this blog entry or by e-mail if you have any questions or comments.

We’ve also added notes in each establishment’s detail page when an inspection requires re-inspection (C, D, or F). Here is an example of this.

The "Browse by Score" page has been removed because this functionality is also available in the "Advanced Search" page, and in fact offers more functionality since you can combine score-based searches with name and geographical searches. Here is an example that shows all establishments whose latest score was C or lower within a 2.5 mile radius of McKinney & Lemmon Avenues.
