In case anyone is wondering why there have been no data updates, the city has not published any new inspection reports in over a month.

I would like to know why Fort Worth does not have a web site like www.foodinspect.com??

Thomas, I may add Fort Worth in the future. The raw data is at http://www.fortworthgov.org/health/FTP_Files/scores/ similar to how Dallas puts it out. Not in a real database AFAICT. The complicated part of foodinspect.com is that I had to do a tremendous amount of work to convert the data into something aggregated by address (standardize establishment names & addresses, lookup geographical information, etc.). Going forward the maintenance is not too difficult because of my tools and such. But starting from scratch for a new city does entail some work.

I enjoyed your insightful article. topnotch stuff. I hope you write many. I will carry on subscribing
